Chap 6



“Katara?” Toph tried to snuggle closer to her own personal human pillow, only to be awaken with a rather laugh screech. “Momo, what you doing here?!”

Toph frowned at Momo, and held tightly to the flying lemur but made sure to keep the crazy creature at arms length. Momo frowned right back at Toph for squeezing him in her sleep and began waving his arms wildly around, as hard as he tried; he could no get out of Toph’s grip.

“Hey I’m unhappy about this as you, where is Katara?” Toph tried looking around, but the only vibrations she saw was Sokka eating around a fire and Aang replenishing their source of light with more wood. “I guess they would know.”

After soundly dropping Momo onto the ground Toph earth bended an opening into the wall that separated the camps into two side and then sat down next to Sokka.

“Hey Toph,” Sokka said while grinning. “So what’s up with the-”

“Where’s  Katara?”

“Umm, well…I really don’t know,” Sokka nudged Aang. “Hey lover boy, where’s your girl?”

Toph frowned at Sokka’s comment and started to glare at Aang, “Yeah twinkle toes where did she go?”

Aang looked back confused at why Toph sounded so hostile all of a sudden, “She said to tell you to eat.” Aang took a drumstick from Sokka and held it for Toph to take.

Toph scrunched up her nose at the piece of meat from Aang’s hand, great now she wouldn’t want to eat the thing. “Its alright I can get my own.”

“There’s no more, Katara only cooked two Rabbit-mice’s.” Sokka mumbled through a full mouth of food.

Toph grimaced when she felt fragments of food flying out of Sokka’s mouth and onto the side of her cheek, “If she only caught two, then how come you’re eating both of them?”

Sokka shrugged his shoulders, “I’m starving, and since Aang’s little monster of a pet stole my apple, the veggie-lover doesn’t get any more food tonight.”

“So she didn’t get any?” Toph furrowed her brows again, this meant her little sugar queen must have been walking around on an empty stomach. “Aren’t you guys worried at all, it’s pretty late into the night right now.”

“Oh c’mon Toph, you know there’s nothing to worry about,” Sokka replied while once again smiling at her. “If you’re that worried about her, I bet she’s near some kind of water.”

Toph smacked herself on the head, after giving Sokka a quick sibling kind of hug she dashed off and began heading for the lagoon. How could she not think of that, Katara must be at the lake!

“Toph, wait,” Sokka pointed at the three metre high solid earth wall. “You didn’t tell me what this thing is doing here!”

“I think she’s not coming back to tell you anything anytime soon.” Aang yawned, “We might as well get some sleep, we have a long day ahead of us.”

Sokka wiped his hands onto his shirt and nodded, “Hey did you notice how Toph hugged me, I think someone has the hots for me.” Sokka was grinning ear to ear when he laid down.

Aang rolled his eyes at the sing-song voice Sokka had made, “Well I guess we can plan for our weddings when the brides get back.” Aang laid down onto the ground and soon fell asleep.

Both Sokka and Aang had dreams about their “brides-to-be”. It’s too bad for them that reality was something entirely different.

Toph rubbed her sleepy eyes and grumbled all the way to the boy’s side of the camp, what was her Katara thinking just leaving her alone in the camp with those two?!

Momo hadn’t forgotten how Toph had so rudely awaken him from slumber then thrown him away, he position him self just in front of Toph’s left leg and waited for the mischief to come.

“AHHHH!” Toph fell forward and planted her lips onto Aang’s lips. “AHHHHH, GROSS!!!”

Even the greatest benders can’t be in perfect conditions right after sleep.

“Oh, sick!” Toph rocked bended a pillar sending Aang flying and Sokka right after his young lover.

“I hope Katara doesn’t find out about this…”
